"Where the Wild Things Are" Debate: c'mon any worse than nursery rhymes?

Wow. Just saw "Where the Wild Things Are" and contrary to some parents in this article, I endorse the film wholeheartedly for children of all ages.
The film was spectacular and has wonderfully and beautifully bridged a story from my own childhood to my parenthood with great depth and meaning. The writing was incredible and the filmmaking was breathtaking. Anastasia did not find it frightening and Sebastian seemed to take it all in with a winsome amazement. We all loved it. Definitely no more morbid that an egg-man plummeting to his death, a baby falling from a broken tree limb, or a man named peter who had a morbid taste for pumpkin and domestic violence. These rhymes were sung to me regularly and I never picked up on the craziness of them until i was older. How much more will children these days see in large monsters running around and throwing rocks at each other?
